Interested in becoming a Certified Deal Architect and leading your organization to more Vested win-win agreements? Or simply want a UT Faculty member to sense check you Deal Architect Team has done a good job applying the Vested Five Rules? This course is for you.
The UT Validation course is a distance learning course where the CDA candidates on a Deal Architect Team work with a UT Vested Faculty member who will review their work/ agreement and will sense check whether they have successfully applied each of the Five Rules/10 Vested contractual Elements. The CDA program is ideal for anyone with responsibility for more than one deal or those that will be leading their organization’s future Vested agreements.
While the majority of people take the course to earn their CDA, it is possible to have the Validation done with the sole intent to get feedback on the work the team has completed.
What’s in It for You?
A Certified Deal Architect can be compared to Six Sigma Black Belts, ITIL Masters, or Agile Scrum Masters – all of whom work to lead their organizations through a proven business methodology. Around the world professionals consider the Certified Deal Architect Program the “gold standard” for developing strategic business relationships because CDA candidates must demonstrate their competency in the art, science, and practice of the Vested methodology and business model. Earning the CDA certification is a showcase skill in which individuals have proven their ability to enable their organization to achieve win-win relationships.
As part of the CDA program, a CDA Candidate not only
completes the Understanding and Implementation course requirements but she must
show her proficiency in leading their organization (or clients) to a Vested
Agreement by participating in the UT capstone CDA Validation course.
Organizations who simply want a UT Faculty to assess their
agreement will still need to register at least one team members for the UT
Validation course, but the candidate does not have to do the additional work
needed to earn their CDA.

“HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO TAKE THIS COURSE?”
This is a misleading question because the course is taken after a CDA candidate has completed a Vested agreement. Completing a Vested agreement typically takes between four and seven months, with individuals using the Creating a Vested Agreement and often a Vested Center of Excellence to guide them.
“CAN MY COMPANY PAY FOR THE COURSE WITH A PURCHASE ORDER”
Yes. Please reach out Mike Watts – program Chief of Staff – who can answer questions so UT can properly invoice you. [email protected]
“THE DETAILS OF OUR RELATIONSHIP AND CONTRACT ARE CONFIDENTIAL. HOW CAN YOU ENSURE CONFIDENTIALITY?”
The UT Faculty member who conducts the validation can sign an NDA.
“DO I HAVE TO ‘FIX’ ANY GAPS THE UT FACULTY MEMBER FINDS DURING THE VALIDATION?”
No. However, if you want to have a healthy and sustainable relationship it is advised.
“IF I DO NOT PASS THE VALIDATION, CAN I TAKE IT AGAIN”
Yes. The course can be repeated once (same agreement) with no additional costs if done within three months. You can retake it as often as you want (same agreement) at a reduced cost. Your tuition will be pro-rated based on how many of the 10 Elements need to be reviewed again.
