Thanks to John Nash and Playing Nice

May 25, 2015 by Kate Vitasek

John_Nash_Photo_Oct_2006_ICTP_trimmed_13027I’ve written frequently over the years about the Nobel laureate and brilliant mathematician John Nash, who died with his wife Alicia when their taxi lost control Saturday on the New Jersey Turnpike.

And rightly so, because his groundbreaking work in game theory and his Nash equilibrium (along with differential geometry, and partial differential equations) provides deep insight into the factors that govern chance and events in the complicated systems of our daily and business life. . Rather, the best results come from developing a solution that optimizes the needs of the group.

In other words .

So thank you Dr. Nash. You’ve inspired many, including the researchers at the University of Tennessee who developed the Vested sourcing business model—where collaboration to optimize results is essential.
